A dashboard preview is not an e-ink test

Fine gray text that looks elegant in a browser can lose contrast and pixels on the real display.

A browser preview made the dashboard look calm and refined. The physical e-ink screen translated some of that refinement into faint text and missing detail. Apparently the device was not moved by the mockup.

For constrained displays, visual verification needs the actual hardware. Small labels may need more size, darker tones, and heavier chart marks than a laptop preview suggests. The design can still be quiet, but it cannot whisper below the screen’s ability to reproduce it.
