If focus moves off-screen, check the geometry

When selection keeps moving but the highlighted item disappears, the visible-area calculation may be wrong—not the input.

The swipe gesture seemed broken because the selection moved while the final menu item remained invisible. The input was actually doing its job. The screen had simply been told that more rows fitted than it could display.

When focus can move beyond the visible area, inspect the viewport and row-height calculation before rewriting the gesture system. A one-row geometry mistake can impersonate a much more complicated interaction bug. Sometimes the swipe is innocent; the rectangle did it.
